Dear Home Building Enthusiast,

The daffodils are finally in flower and Spring is in the air!

Now is the time to set about giving your home a spring clean.
Sweep the cobwebs, wipe down the walls, air the bedding and think about a new look for the coming warmer months.

A relatively easy project to undertake, re-painting a room can be achieved in a weekend - sometimes the hardest part is moving the furniture out of the room. The key to a good paint job is in the preparation. First and foremost is a thorough clean with sugar soap; patching the holes and sanding to provide a smooth surface - particularly in plasterboard. Give it a base coat, allow it to dry and quick sand (and clean to remove the dust) and another coat.

Many of the well known paint brands have released new palettes for Spring, you can check out some of our inspiration from the Dulux range here:http://www.build.com.au/balance-your-paint-palette
