The Cornice Store has introduced a recycled-content XPS cornice to deliver a traditional plaster look alongside modern sustainability and installation benefits. Its profiles are lightweight, moisture-resistant and paintable, while being designed for quick, clean installation with water-based or acrylic adhesives.
XPS doesn’t require cement mixing, it’s easy to cut with common tools and it can be installed by one person. The material used for the cornice is made from up to 100% recycled EPS polystyrene that’s collected from communities across Australia and then processed into XPS boards.
The material is manufactured without ozone-depleting substances and contains a fire-retardant additive. This makes it free from the chemical hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD), a harmful flame retardant.
