TP-Link has unveiled the Tapo C660 KIT, a solar-powered outdoor security camera that delivers 24/7 continuous capture, intelligent 360° AI tracking and 4K clarity without wiring, frequent charging or complicated installation.
It’s designed for Australian homes and conditions while combining ultra-high-definition video, smart detection and flexible solar-powered setup for a low-maintenance way to monitor your property day and night.
At the heart of the system is a 4K Ultra HD (8MP) camera with 18x digital zoom, capturing sharp detail to easily identify people, pets and vehicles. Starlight colour night vision, an F1.6 large-aperture lens and built-in spotlights maintain clarity in low light, while motorised pan and tilt provide 360° coverage. AI-powered detection recognises and tracks people, pets and vehicles, with customisable activity zones to ensure alerts only come from the areas that matter.
The Tapo C660 KIT runs on a dedicated solar panel and 10,000mAh rechargeable battery, with just 45 minutes of direct sunlight powering a full day of operation. With IP65 weather resistance, flexible installation, dual-band WiFi, two-way audio, built-in alarms, voice control via Alexa and Google Home and microSD or cloud storage options, it’s designed for effortless, reliable security.
“Home security shouldn’t demand constant attention. With the Tapo C660 KIT, we focused on clear 4K footage, intelligent detection and solar-powered operation that can run day after day, giving people confidence that their home is monitored, whether they’re inside, away or asleep,” TP-Link Australia and New Zealand managing director Neville Wang says.
