Smeg has recently announced its DWIFAB dishwasher, an attractive 50’s styled dishwaser with some modern twists.
Smeg has today announced the release of its retro 1950’s styled DWIFAB dishwasher. The dishwasher features a curvaceous 50’s design, with the beautiful bold lettering and colours that were typical of kitchen appliances (perhaps more commonly refrigerators) of that era.
We’re not yet completely convinced that there were any 50’s dishwashers thatactually looked this way, but the dishwasher is nonetheless a faithfully styled modern addition to a 50’s styled kitchen, and probably a fantastic visual fit in the right style of kitchen.
Classic on the outside, modern on the inside
The DWIFAB features Smeg’s water-reducing orbital wash system, a five stage water filtration system, accommodates 14 full place settings inside and uses 12.6 litres per wash. It also features Aquastop and Aquatest features which, according to Smeg, employ a turbidity sensor to monitor how much dirt is in the water and adjust the wash program to ensure a proper clean.
The dishwasher is available in three colours: cherry red, opera black and panna cream, with matching baskets, racks and handles.
The dishwasher has a respectable 4.5 star WELS rating, and a 3.5 star energy efficiency rating.
