Name a better duo than a cosy night and water dripping sound from an indoor waterfall with a warm cup of beverage. Indoor water walls are the royal piece to any house interior and the water running sound is proven to be a relaxation for nerves. You can install indoor waterfalls as a focal point at your entrance, living area or to divide two sections of the house.
If you think waterfalls are a luxury that belongs on mansions and lawns only, think again. You can fairly build an indoor waterfall. An appealing waterfall requires some materials and fittings only. Below I will state a few important steps on how you can DIY your own indoor pool. I will try my best to portray what I learnt from an explanatory free course from Wawazen Waterwall School on how to DIY indoor waterfall. Select a place and measure the area then proceed to the following steps:
Buy Materials:
Buy Materials:
You can buy material from any local home improvement supply store or even order online. You will need a pond liner for the waterfall reservoir. You can also use a planter or any large container as an alternative. A water wall pump should be powerful enough to pump the water all the way up to the waterfall and the motor should be able to run continuously 24 hours a day. Some additional supplies for decoration and structure include glass, cobblestones, river rock, slate and glass mosaic tiles.
Adhering:
Adhering is an important part to make sure the water will be distributed well all over your plate. Clean the glass or stone plate and the overflowchannel by removing hydrophobic dirt and fat from its surface. After that you will have a much better water distribution and you will have the water running across the surface in beautiful waves.
Plumbing:
If you are constructing a large indoor waterfall then you will need more than just a water pump and a hose. You need valves, filling systems and overflow protection to avoid water damages.
Water Treatment:
To keep the water and the water wall clean you should you should use lime free water, dirt filters and water additives against algae and germs. I order to get professional help I recommend you visit the Wawazen Waterwall School.
