Councils offering online sustainable living series

12 May 2020

Get some tips for your DIY projects in a new webinar series.

The City of Stonnington is partnering with the City of Glen Eira, City of Port Phillip and City of Yarra to deliver an online sustainable living series.

City of Stonnington Mayor, Cr Steve Stefanopoulos, says it’s a great opportunity to learn new skills to support sustainable living and self-sufficiency while we spend more time at home.

“With everyone spending additional time inside, we are working with our neighbouring councils to deliver a program that empowers people to live sustainably and cut their carbon emissions. All without leaving their home.

More than 20 individual sessions will be broadcast, covering topics that enable people to take personal action on climate change such as: growing food at home, cutting energy bills, and encouraging children to connect with nature through play.

“Supporting our residents to reduce their carbon footprint and live more sustainably is an important action following our declaration of a climate emergency earlier this year, and I’m excited that we’re partnering with nearby councils to deliver this,” said Cr Stefanopoulos.

Sessions are free and will be delivered as webinars - registration links below:
