Fujitsu expands smart home control with garage door integration

Fujitsu General has expanded the functionality of its anywAiR technology ducted controller, now offering an optional garage door controller and sensor add-on.

Designed for seamless integration, the updated system allows users to manage their ducted air conditioning and compatible garage doors through a single user interface, via a wall-mounted touchpad or mobile app. The latest version of the anywAiR app enables remote operation and status notifications, alerting users if the garage door has been left open.

Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand’s general manager of product and strategy, Kyle Rafter, says the innovation reflects the rising demand for centralised, energy-efficient smart home solutions.

“We’re focused on making Australian homes more convenient and efficient by bringing greater integration and control into everyday life,” he says.

The system supports temperate zoning, weather-based automation and energy-saving features such as sleep economiser mode. With its Android-based operating system, the controller also functions as a central hub for other applications. The garage door functionality is available now through Fujitsu General’s authorised dealer network as an optional add-on to the new UTY-ANY2 ducted controller.
