Winter kicks off with sustainable home improvements

It’s already mid-year and it seems like there’s no style like sustainability as DIYers take to their indoor and outdoor projects this winter.

A growing number of industry and DIY experts are finding more ways to enhance homes with an eco-friendly approach, which is a great positive step forward as we continue to lessen our carbon footprint and shift towards an increasing sustainable future. The best part about this is you don’t have to sacrifice style!

A little bit of research can go a long way these days. For creating that stylish, but eco-friendly home space or environment, a DIYer can take to a variety of techniques or strategies, including reusing and rearranging the home environment and building on it, or taking advantage of second-hand, vintage and upcycled items, or buying sustainably designed and sourced new items or consider fair trade and ethical business practise, just to name a few.

Fact is, there is no one style or way in sustainable decorating, and with more retail brand options than ever, there’s never been a better time than Winter 2023 to think green going into your next DIY project.
