Pantone, the global colour authority, has announced its Colour of the Year 2022 – VERY PERI.

A dynamic periwinkle blue with vibrant violet red undertones, Pantone describes this choice as a direct response to the transformative, ever-changing times we are living in. The colour displays a carefree confidence and daring curiosity while at the same time delivering the qualities of trust and faithfulness for which the blues are renowned.

VERY PERI is a hue we will see appearing everywhere, from broad feature walls to pops of colour in towels, tiles, tableware and textiles.

So how do you use Very Peri with other finishes – especially in kitchens and bathrooms?

This fresh, calming blue – which can be found in Wattyl paint colour Turkish Bazaar – is a perfect partner for the dramatic quartz surfaces of Caesarstone Black Tempal or Empira Black – especially when lush green foliage is added to the mix. An inspiring palette for a bathroom – just add copper tapware and finishes!

VERY PERI DRAMA

For the semi industrial look of honed concrete try combining Caesarstone Airy Concrete or Rugged concrete with the bold personality of Very Peri -  highlights of brushed gold or oiled bronze tapware and fittings will seal the deal!

And for a fresh, sleek palette team Caesarstone Empira White or Aterra Blanca with the fresh, joyous hues of Very Peri – add lots of crisp white towels/teatowels, ceramics and cabinetry.  In a bathroom, the addition of  violet blue flowers and verdant green foliage would increase the sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
