The recently launched Caroma Flow Shower has taken out the ‘Housing and Building Category’ at the 2011 Australian International Design Awards, beating 232 other products and 47 product finalists.

The shower, which uses a patented nozzle system and attempts a new approach at how low-flow showers work, was chosen by a panel of design experts both for its design and for the price at which it’s offered. According to the panel, the Caroma Flow Shower represents “a sensational design outcome at an excellent price [which] makes sustainability at the highest level accessible to the broader public”.

Dr Steve Cummings, Research and Development Manager at Caroma said that the win was a reflection of company’s standards of design and innovation. “We are proud that the Caroma Flow Shower has been acknowledged amongst so many high quality international designs across such varied product categories. The award confirms the Caroma Flow Shower’s position as an industry leading environmental product and recognises its exceptional design, quality and reliability,” he said.

The Australian International Design Awards are an annual award program to recognise and promote Australian achievements in design, both local and international.
