All these things can help you save energy and improve your overall high quality of life. They will all make a huge difference when you have beautiful garden lights with vibrant plants and lush foliage. Garden light installers will help you achieve that. So how do you decide which type of lighting to use for your landscape? Here’s a list of some basics:

Types of Outdoor Lighting

There are various outdoor lighting products you can see nowadays. But here are some of the types of it.

  • LED lights

LED lights use less energy than traditional bulbs while producing brighter light. They last longer and cost far less than incandescent alternatives. It generally comes in two varieties: warm white (the colour that gives the light a yellowish tint) and cool white.

  • Floating water features

Floating water features are ideal for small areas such as window wells or large ponds. The lights are placed inside floating bowls that float above the surface. Instead of sinking to the bottom, they hover about 6 inches above the ground. This makes them incredibly safe and eliminates the risk of drowning.

  • Floodlights

Floodlights provide an ample amount of light for large entertaining areas. The best part about them is that they can be mounted directly into soil or rock. This allows you to easily control the height and location of your fixtures. This is great if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on landscaping but still want to add some natural lighting installed to your property.

  • Spotlights

Spotlights provide strong illumination for smaller areas such as flowerbeds, shrubs, trees and other small bushes. Spotlights come in two different varieties. First, there are wall-mounted spotlights which usually consist of three main components; the spotlight itself, a bracket and ballasts. Next, there are recessed spotlights which are mounted inside concrete slabs or stone bases.

  • Lantern light

Lanterns come in several different sizes including full-size lanterns, mini-lanterns and tabletop lanterns. They usually come equipped with a bulb or battery-powered system that attaches directly to the fixture. It uses standard screw holes so you can easily mount them anywhere within reach of electricity.

  • Solar panels

Solar panels are great for providing your landscape with power. They work by capturing sunlight through a series of lenses and converting it into usable electricity. This is particularly helpful if you want to keep your costs low while adding some green energy to your property.

  • Movement sensors

Movement sensors detect movement and activate lights automatically whenever someone enters the space being lit. This helps reduce your electrical usage dramatically because it only activates lighting when people are actually present.

  • Custom designs

Custom designs are available for virtually all types of lighting. These range from simple designs like pendants or chandeliers to elaborate structures like waterfalls or fireplaces. Custom lighting has been used for centuries to accent buildings, create beautiful displays and even entertain guests.

  • Dynamic lighting

Dynamic lighting can be programmed to change its brightness based on various factors. For example, some systems allow you to set different lighting levels during different seasons or even different times of the day. You can also program a system to switch between specific modes depending on whether you're at home or away.

  • Absolute mounting

Absolute mounting consists of hanging fixtures directly to the ceiling with no additional supports. It's the easiest way to get good coverage without using wires or pipes.

However, absolute mounting isn't suitable for locations subject to high winds because the fixture must be able to support itself by leaning against the wall lights. Absolute mounting should only be considered when space is limited.

  • Outdoor hidden lamp

Outdoor hidden lamps are designed specifically for outdoor environments. They take advantage of the fact that most people won't notice light bulbs once they've been planted out of sight. The lights themselves are usually made up of several standard bulbs encased in a single shell which blends in perfectly with the surrounding foliage.

Whichever outdoor lighting you choose, hiring lighting designers is highly recommended. They are trained professionals to install outdoor light fittings and ensure the safety and security of your property.

Make sure to hire electrical services with a fully licensed experienced electrician. Outdoor lighting installation is recommended to be done by a professional to avoid any electrical problems.
